This is a great, slightly hidden gem

Casa Deli Savage is our go-to spot for authentic Mexican food. My wife can't get enough of the Chicken Tinga--it's got the perfect kick and is always super tender. As for me, I'm all about their tamales. They're just like the ones I've had in Mexico, with soft masa and a flavorful filling that hits the spot every time.

Hidden away in an old train stop

It is this cute restaurant, don't let the name fool you, it's not a deli. It has a little bit of everything. Mexican American and Mediterranean food it seems like a lot, but the menu is small, which means the food is delicious.

Burger and gyro restaurant. The service was quick the food was excellent, and the staff was friendly. I would eat here again. The restaurant is built inside an old train station with an interesting history.

Locally popular, very good food, reasonable prices. I noticed a number of native speakers coming in as I waited (5 minutes - not a problem) for my food to be prepared. They have a range of Mexican, Mediterranean and "American" - ie burgers - food. Most people who came in during lunch time, when I was there, were ordering Mexican food.

Located next to an adjoining mercado, this is the real deal. Authentic — they know what they are doing. The carnitas is absolutely flavor packed. It has become one of my regular lunch go to places.

This is the best mexican food in this part of town hands down, honestly one of the best in the state. I was a regular customer back when I lived in savage and I am back to being a regular customer now that we live back in the area again. Anything on their menu is top tier!!! Highly recommend this spot!
